Truly sensational vehicles are Project Kahn’s forte.
A recently announced partnership with Cosworth is proof of Kahn’s ambitions to mix it with the big boys of the tuning business.
Newly appointed Cosworth Dealer Principal, Michael Brodie told Kahn News.com why he believes the two powerhouses create ‘a powerful statement’.
The former Commercial Director, deemed worthy to hear the words: ‘You’re hired’, said: “The design strengths of Kahn combined with state of the art Cosworth engineering ensures a great deal of motor supremacy.
“The row of gleaming Bentley’s, Aston Martins and Ferrari’s, all with personalised plates, is the first thing that hits you when you arrive at Project Kahn.
Nevertheless, The Kahn Cosworth creates a very powerful statement. It is something unique and different,” adds Brodie. “New wheels, new body styling and a totally new look which people will recognise as a Kahn Cosworth.”
The aggressive styling package featuring a road hugging body kit with a low riding front spoiler, flared arches and a large rear spoiler capped off with 22 inch lightweight alloy wheels. The interior gets a custom made perforated leather upholstery.
Cosworth got to work on the TDV8 engine from the Range Rover Sport bumping power output up to 300bhp from 268bhp which now enables the model to accelerate from 0-62mph in under 8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 135mph.
Not since the 80’s has a Cosworth badge adorned such a vehicle and Brodie is confident the company can smash sales targets. “Cosworth is a brand with great heritage; Afzal Kahn is a very shrewd businessman, proud of his products and always striving for perfection. Even in the current economic climate, this tie up, so far, has been very successful.”
It seems the Kahn-Cosworth Range Rover is just the start and further tie-ups could follow. Even Lotus, Jaguar and Porsche dealers are finding customers asking for the Kahn touch!
And whether it’s to your taste or not, British success stories like this are there to be celebrated.
