The principal British designer, owner and founder of Kahn Design, has placed his Bugatti Veyron up for sale. With only 300 miles on the clock – the 2009 car has barely been run in yet received a full service in May.

Painted in a stunning combination of Blue/Black metallic over Bugatti Pearl White wings the hyper-car features a silk hide interior and the all important PDA Speed Key that activates Defcon 4. The asking price is £749,000 but Afzal will consider part exchanges.  However, Kahnnews.com can confirm that the F1 number plate is not included in the deal.

A mouth-watering array of Project Kahn Range Rovers including the Vesuvius edition and the Bugatti Veyron complete with the F1 number plate, rolled into the Chelsea AutoLegends show and thrilled the 8,000 plus fans who attended the show despite a heavy downpour and helped to raise significant funds for the Royal Hospital’s Chelsea Pensioners – a significant increase of more than 50 per cent on the 5,000 who attended the show in 2010.

More than 600 of the finest and most celebrated classic, competition and supercars converged with so much to savour the event proved to be a major draw both with hardcore car enthusiasts and a wider family audience.

And Afzal Kahn certainly provided the vibrancy to the relaxed atmosphere, at the heart of the display; the Kahn Vesuvius edition Range Rover generated as much interest as the Bugatti Veyron!

And as the principal British Designer sat down with a host of fellow motoring personalities, an impressive line-up of more than 30 iconic Le Mans cars ranging from the Bentleys of the 1920s, through the Ferraris and Porsches of the 1960s and 1970s right up to today’s state-of-the-art diesel prototypes that currently rule the French classic, the cream of current road-going exotica including Aston Martin One-77, Ferrari 599 GTO, Pagani Zonda and the new McLaren MP4-12C added to the automotive feast.

Eric Verdon-Roe, the Chairman of Chelsea AutoLegends was visibly thrilled with the turnout and Afzal Kahn’s participation at the show. As I walked into the Kahn laboratory my heart started beating faster and faster, but when I saw the Bugatti Veyron with the F1 number plate, worth over £10 million, and the other top notch cars, my nervousness turned to excitement.

And a familiar face in Lauren Carter, a former pupil at Titus Salt Secondary school, who works in the accounts department made me feel at home.

I was shown around the premises, had my induction and by this time, I was raring to go.

I was told I would be given an opportunity to work within several aspects of the business and my first day was spent working with the accounts department, undertaking general administrative work, filing invoices, dealing with customer requests and more.

The second day was spend with both the account and design team. The design team are responsible for making Kahn products across the board, from alloy wheels to body kits. It was a real eye opener and something I enjoyed, I was given an opportunity to design wheels and was shown how to change the resolution in pictures.

The rest of my time was spent with production and the PR team. The procedure in which an order is placed to delivery of a vehicle is pretty cool and intense, it’s something that both the team here at Kahn and the customer themselves, can be very proud of, because it’s something that the production team runs smoothly so the customer is happy with the final product.

The PR and business team here is fun to work with, from a veteran called Nick Barr, who has worked with many great companies, and is looking after the overseas market for the company, to a south African gentleman called Deon, who looks after motor show events to advertising, there are many characters here who like their banter but also work very hard and I was taught how to write a press release and how to construct an article, this article in fact, which I have completed for Kahnnews.com.

I would recommend Project Kahn to anyone looking for a good experience, I certainly did!
