Mold is one of those things that could just pop up in any corner of your home if you live in a place that’s hot and humid. Even if you don’t live close to the equator, you can still get mold during the summers in the damp dark corners of your home. Mold can include many different kinds of fungi that start growing in these places and make them smell weird but is that really all that mold does?

There are over a hundred thousand different kinds of fungi out there and if there’s one thing they all have in common then it’s the fact that they spread their spores through the air. Basically, what that means is that there’s nothing you can do to avoid spores from entering your home but you can control whether or not they star growing in your home. Mold can start causing some real damage as well if you let it grow; it can ruin paper, adhesive materials, cloth and even leather. If ingested, mold can also be toxic and can very quickly cause you all kinds of stomach problems as well. What you can do to prevent mold from ever growing in the first place is to make sure that you keep every dark corner of your place dusted and clean and you might also want to cut down on the humidity present in a place. Good air circulation and sunlight are two things that can always stop mold from growing but if it still grow, your only option is mold removal.
