Project Kahn Aston Martin DB9S

Project Khan is always keen to tread where few dare……

The S styling package from Project Kahn is intended as a design enhancement for the DB9, for customers who want something a little more exclusive. The S styling package combines aggression and luxury perfectly, with the precision quality of Project Kahn. The fierce exterior demands attention, while the bespoke interior leaves a feeling of indulgence.

The body kit stays true to the original contours of the car while creating a truly unique look for the distinguished buyer who wishes for a more ‘personal’ luxury car.

The body kit consists of a front and rear bumper, side skirts and boot lip spoiler, enhancing the DB9S with a ‘low to the road’ look. In order to accommodate that particular look; Project Kahn fitted a set of 20 inch Kahn RSV wheels, which were in fact featured on the Aston Martin DBS prototype.

Project Kahn Ferrari

Kahn manages to retain the aesthetic integrity and attention to detail of the 599 which consists of a lowered suspension, volume enhanced exhaust system and 20-and 21 inch F1-X Carbon wheels front and rear respectively.

In addition, the F1-X wheel is the first in a pioneering new programme from Kahn Design in order to develop a series of high performance wheels combining carbon fibre with light magnesium alloy.

As one of our more exotic conversions, the Project Kahn Ferrari 599 stands out in the crowd. The Carbon F1-X magnesium alloy wheels certainly compliment the sleek look, whilst the interior completes the whole driving experience.

By taking a more featherweight approach the Audi A8 by Kahn wipes the floor with all other contenders — in the eco-friendly stakes at least.

The all-aluminum body means a significant saving in weight — a crucial element in cutting emissions. Coupled with the Kahn Design electric lowering module – the A8 has an efficient 2.8-litre petrol engine that emits CO2 at a rate of just 199 g/km, a 11 g/km advantage over others in its class. NOx emissions are also low and, since it’s petrol, you don’t have to worry about particulates. Welcome to the most eco-friendly luxury car you can buy.

The A8 is a joy to drive, too. The standard air suspension has four settings that let you tailor the car’s set-up depending on your needs. Road noise is virtually absent; it’s only when you concentrate that you can hear the wind fluttering over the windscreen. Performance is surprisingly sprightly: the 0-62mph sprint is done and dusted in 8.0 seconds.

The TOKYO AUTO SALON 2009 with NAPAC is the world’s largest automotive exhibition.

And at this year’s show, the Project Kahn F1-X Carbon Fiber wheels adorned the performance Nissan GT-R.

The GT-R, named Motor Trend car of the year, certainly kept car and design enthusiasts busy.

Combining Carbon Fiber with light magnesium alloy, fans ogled the F1 – X wheels to their heart’s content.

The positive response delighted Kahn Design’s Richard Raw who was in attendance. He commented: “I believe driving is all about a car responding to the driver's wishes and successive generations of the GT-R have consistently pursued this vision of ultimate driving pleasure.
