Accounts Assistant: To be part of the accounts team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate Accounting function.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To receive and process all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment.
• Verify calculations and input codes in to the Accounts system in an accurate manner.
• To maintain and reconcile the Direct Debit mandates.
• To deal with daily transactions for the petty cash and ensure that reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis.
• To ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare cheques for payment.
• To ensure that all post is sent daily.

Skills / Attributes Desired:

• Previous experience in an Accounts office.
• Strong Microsoft and Excel skills
• Ideally be studying for the AAT (Association of Accounting Technician or equivalent)
• Good organisation and administrative skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Project Kahn have an immediate vacancy for a Qualified Accountant in their West Yorkshire Head Office.

Typical Roles will include:

-Management and production of the monthly accounts to the agreed timetable, for review with the Chief Accountant.

-Ongoing review of the management accounts process to recommend and implement more efficient practices and eliminate any unnecessary work.

-Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for review with the Chief Accountant.

-Attend the monthly Operations meeting as the Finance representative.

-Provide decision support and financial guidance to the Operations Managers and the Business Development Managers.

-Develop management information reports to assist the Operations Managers with the control of their business.

-Maintenance of the General Ledger.

-Ensure that all management accounts instructions are fully documented.

-Production of the annual budget and of forecasts with the Chief Accountant.

-Additional analysis at half year and year end.

The ideal candidate will be qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with proven experience in a similar role with excellent communication skills.

Sage Line 50 Experience is essential.

Seeking a talented level headed web developer with an existing portfolio of database driven web projects and enthusiasm for web development, to code, implement and manage a number of in house projects in collaboration with our visual designers.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to formulate clear and concise requirements and summaries from discussions with colleagues is crucial to your role as are self reliance and good organisational / time management skills. Most of the time you would be working on your own, but in a social environment.

• You must enjoy coding, managing projects from start to finish and have a knack for discovering new solutions and modifying existing solutions to rapidly deploy an idea.

• You must have an eye for detail and be very fluent in the language of front end W3C standards compliant web development, using XHTML, CSS and Javascript (hand-coded). Creating websites from static designs, which work seamlessly across modern browsers IE7,Firefox,Safari, Opera and degrade gracefully for mobile browsers would be second nature to you. Bug hunting and researching a fix should not daunt you.

• You should be aware of Web 2.0 usability standards/common conventions and be able to suggest and implement adding interaction principles to websites, to make forms more usable. and interactions enjoyable, advising on any potential irritations and frustrations which users will pick up on.

• Having sound knowledge of PHP and MySQL is an absolute must to power the backend of the sites you will work on, and experience of implementing AJAX, Flash Remoting is a bonus.

• You must be able to manage and administer a Linux server (using Plesk/Webmin or Cpanel)
