For euro millions lottery winner Nigel Page that dream is about to come true. Page says he’ll spend part of his £56 million winnings on a new 4×4, possibly a Range Rover or a BMW X6, Kahn Design’s showroom could certainly help Page’s wish list come true.

According to latest research by the Camelot Group a new BMW is the second most popular purchase for lottery winners, with a Range Rover coming in at number six. The most popular brand that millionaires head for is Mercedes-Benz with the C-Class topping the choice table for lottery winners.

A new car is one of the first things that a lottery millionaire buys, with 36% of jackpot winners heading to a car showroom before buying a new house or even splashing some cash on the high street.

Few stop at just one set of wheels though, as the average numbers of cars bought by lottery winners is over six. Take Tom Naylor as an example, the lorry driver from the West Midlands, at the time of his win he won £15,528,286 on Lotto Extra in 2001. He said he wanted a car for every day of the week and that’s just what he did. He bought a Rolls-Royce Phantom, three Jaguars – an XJ, XK and XJ220 – an Aston Martin DB9, a Land Rover Discovery and a Hummer.

In fact, 13% of jackpot winners have bought at least 10 cars since their win, while the average number of cars bought per winning household is 5.17.

 Some winners are clearly on the Kahn Designs train of thought and enjoy living in the fast lane choosing from a shopping list of supercars comprising of the likes of Aston Martin, Bentley, De Lorian, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Rolls Royce.

It seems that for the super-rich, a vehicle is seen not as a status symbol, but as a means to an end in which to get from point A to point B.
Status is something that these billionaires need not prove to others. In many cases, the people on our list prefer to live inconspicuously, avoiding the limelight at all costs. This might explain why many of their vehicles cost less than your own daily driver.
1. Bill Gates – $50 billion (previous list) – Porsche 911 Convertible (996)
Bill Gates is the founder of Microsoft.
He vents his software stress behind the wheel of two Porsches. His daily drive, a 1999 Porsche 911 Convertible is ripe for replacement, especially considering that Porsche has totally redesigned the latest 911, the 997, for 2005. Now, after waiting some 10 years, Gates can finally enjoy his other favourite Porsche: a rare (1 of 230) 1988 Porsche 959 Coupe.
In fact, due to the 959’s questionable emissions and unknown crash ratings, it took a federal law signed by President Clinton for Bill Gates to legally drive his 959 on American roads. Rumour has it that Bill Gates and Paul Allen employed Microsoft engineers to write a computer program that could simulate the 959’s crashworthiness, which helped in the bill’s passage.
2. Warren Buffett – $42 billion (previous list) – Lincoln Town Car Signature
With a license plate that reads “THRIFTY,” it could belong to no other than billionaire investor Warren Buffett…
3. Ingvar Kamprad – $28 billion (previous list) – Volvo 240 GL (1993)
Founder of the Swedish furniture and home goods company IKEA, Ingvar Kamprad is the proud owner of a 13-year-old Volvo 240 GL…..
4. Paul Allen – $22 billion (previous list) – Porsche 959
When not sitting at the captain’s chair of his 413-foot yacht, Octopus, Microsoft co-founder Allen can be found cruising the autobahn in his 1988 Porsche 959 Coupe. Originally, Allen planned to drive his Porsche on American soil, but stringent emissions standards and crash-test ratings kept his and Bill Gates’ 959s impounded in customs. Frustrated, Allen gave up and decided to ship his 959 back to Europe, where he enjoys driving it today. When he is in Seattle, Allen has a 1988 Mazda B-Series Pickup that he uses to get around.
5. Prince Al-waleed Bin Talal Alsaud (previous list) – $20 billion – Rolls-Royce Phantom
As the nephew of Saudi King Abdullah, Prince Al-waleed Bin Talal Al-Saud is no stranger to the finer things in life…

The Smart Roadster is a cracking drive and this entry-model is perhaps the best. It makes do with skinnier tyres fitted on non-alloy wheels over other Roadster models, this actually allowing you to enjoy the driving experience further. It no longer has such a vast surplus of grip, feeling more poised and fun as a result. It really does work best as a pared to the bone driving machine, after all you’ll hardly have bought the Roadster for practical reasons. All it’s missing is a CD player, and that can be specified for very little. Otherwise it’s got the essentials like air conditioning and remote locking.
The cleverly evolved new ‘Smart RSL Wheel’ (Diamond Cut) by Project Kahn wheels gives the Smart Roadster Light a fresh and masculine appearance whilst retaining its unmistakable character.
Complete with maximum agility, safety and ecology, the stunning Kahn 6.5×17 – 7X17 Wheel bestows an aura style and self-expression:

Mini One
The 1.3-litre petrol engine might not have the power of its hot relatives with only 90bhp, but it’s got more mid-range pull than its busy, revvy relatives. That makes it a more relaxed daily driver, and without the massive wheels, rubber band tyres and stiffer suspension of the Cooper and Cooper S models it’s got a far more pleasing ride, too.
Still great fun to drive, and cheaper to insure you can spend the money you save on buying a Cooper and go daft with a set of project Kahn’s RSS sheels:

Caterham Seven 1.4 Classic
1.4-litres in a sports car might seem a bit lacking, but when the car is a Caterham it’s more than enough. With 105bhp on tap the 1.4-litre Classic can sprint to 60mph in just 6.5 seconds, though it feels much, much quicker due to being sat so close to the road and exposed to the elements. Any Caterham has the ability to thrill, embarrassing everything out there for driver feedback, feel and involvement. The £3,000 more required for the 115bhp 1.6-litre Roadsport shaves 0.2 of a second to 60mph and 2mph more on the 110mph top speed of the 1.4 Classic, but really you’ll be hard pushed to notice the difference. For an inexpensive thrill ride on road or track the Caterham Seven is unsurpassed. That it’s available for so little only makes it more appealing.

Porsche 911 Carrera
We’ve never been to quiet in our praise of all things 911 and the latest 997 series model is little different. Interestingly, Porsche now offers two versions of 911, the Carrera and Carrera S. So what’s the difference? The S gets a bigger 3.8-litre engine allowing it to sprint to 60mph in 4.8 seconds instead of the still rapid 5.0 of the Carrera. On the road though few will find the standard Carrera wanting for anything, it feeling just as quick as its bigger-engined alternative. Indeed, its standard suspension and slightly smaller wheels give it a suppler ride.
Furthermore, a set of Kahn F1-X wheels wouldn’t go amiss.

Audi TT 150 Roadster
The TT might be omnipresent in the smarter parts in town, but there’s no denying it’s enormous appeal. Not only does it look sensational from the outside, but the interior is also a sight to behold. Since its introduction Audi has released more and more models, thankfully not all of these being more expensive versions. Entry-level Roadster buyers are offered a 150bhp front-wheel-drive model complete with Kahn RSL 9 X 21 matte black in the front and 10.5 x 21 at the rear:
